Do you ever have nights where you can’t sleep? I do, obviously, since I’m having one right now. We’re not talking rolled around for an hour or two before falling asleep either. We’re talking literal sleep deprivation.

Things just keep pounding through my head. It is also extremely cold in my house which doesn’t exactly help lull someone into sleep .

I finally gave up trying to sleep at 5am and made some breakfast. The ability to cook quietly dictated what I made.

Bring back my staple breakfast from the veggie days. 2 fried eggs atop a slice of whole wheat toast smeared with jam.

This dark morning that would be blueberry super food jam from TJ’s.

I bet all this early eating will make me need a morning snack. Hmm…

I feel really bad about the coaching situation. Not only because I might not be able too this season but because I messed up things for my Dad. I genuinely misunderstood and to me the e-mail wasn’t very clear. I did all the things I need to do to not miss these appointments.

  1. I kept the e-mail
  2. I wrote down the dates/times/places I needed to go to in my planner
  3. I knew they were coming

I admit I do have a problem with things like this and my working memory issues. I’m aware of them and I do my very best to account for them. It’s only taken me 6 years to make it through college with this “struggle”. A lacking working memory and exams don’t go together very well. I’m just sorry because it was my fault that I didn’t understand. Hopefully, like so many other times, I’ll get my hands on a second chance.

Tell me about your sleepless nights. Let’s wallow in some sleep deprivation.

I had a sleepless night last night too. I managed to fall asleep around midnight and woke up around 2:30 feeling gross and like I wanted food and a shower. I fell back asleep around 4 and slept until 6 when my alarm went off. Damn sleepless nights :(

Yours sounds so similar to mine I slept from 1 to maybe 3 then I was just up. So frustrating.

I’m so sorry sweet girl…maybe you were upset about the coaching situation and that kept you awake. Mistakes happen. Don’t beat yourself up about it. I had a really hard time sleeping last night too. I felt pretty upset about baby Ryan…very helpless. I hope that we both can get a better night’s rest this evening. Thanks for sharing.
