I make it a rule to enjoy cookies before painful PT! Which it 100% was!
Physical Therapy. ‘nough said
I did the usual stuff today. Biked for 25 minutes (we’ll talk more about that in Fitness) then my usual exercises, balancing on random things then squats on the Bosu ball and leg work on the shuttle press. Then things became strange. The assistant started using the ultrasound on my ankle. My antennas were saying “ABORT ABORT ABORT!”
Then John came over and explained that they were trying to get more movement in my actual joint to relieve some of my pain. He started doing the same joint movement exercises that he did last Thursday, which hurt by the way. Then he said get off the table and lean your weight over onto the table through your hands. Then he sat behind me and grabbed my ankle like when you change the shoe on a horse. Well he jerked my foot and popped my ankle! I said “Holy Buckets!” and literally ran away. I was laughing in nervousness and had tears.
Not cool, John! Not cool! I ended the session with heat and stem, which felt amazing, so bonus points to the physical therapists. I feel good in the joint now, aside from the ‘incident’, but I am having pain where the screw is in my foot now when I walk and put all my weight on that leg. I’ll have to watch it and if it still hurts tomorrow I might call him.
Lunch
After PT and my shock/adrenaline rush I went to the local upscale grocery store for lunch. I had a craving for some sushi.
Normally I get a veggie roll with brown rice, but the cream cheese Philly roll sounded so much better when I got there so I treated myself to some cream cheese :-D
In search for some unsweetened green tea to wash down my Japanese food I found Synergy Komucha Tea! My grocery hasn’t had it in so long due to the alcohol issue with the naturally fermenting tea. Synergy is my absolute favorite so I had to get a bottle.
Mystic Mango is the best name for a flavor. My nick name in high school was Mystic Maren. It’s a match made in heaven.
Naturally Effervescent has to be the best phrase ever! I wish I was ‘naturally effervescent’ ;-)
My entire lunch was delicious, exciting, and consumed outside in the sun! Such a foodie oasis.
Question of the Day
Do you eat intuitively? What does eating intuitively mean to you?

At least you said something cute like “holy buckets” and didn’t curse up a storm. And how excited were you to see kombucha again! I think I actually squealed a tiny bit.
RIGHT?! I said the same thing in my head after. Thank god I didn’t use a super harsh curse word with all the grandmas in there. I totally giggled and ran toward the Kombucha tea area once I saw the hint of the Synergy bottle. A man actually moved out of the way to make room in the aisle lol. I had a strange day…
I definitely eat intuitively, which for me, means eating what I want, when I want. I just watch my portions! No rocket science here :)
I’m the same way! all about the portions!
I love eating intuitively…and your cookie before PT plan :)
