Cracked my HEART!

November 16, 2011

Hey guys! When I got some of your “where are you comments” I knew I needed to finally make time to write a post. Thanks for being concerned!! I love all my blog friends.

Blogging has been surprisingly hard since starting to eat with all my food sensitivities. I guess blogging has always been pretty food focused and now that food isn’t the most fun aspect of my life anymore blogging has kinda fallen off my radar. But, I’m going to try to be better because my mood always get’s really dark and twisty when I don’t blog and I LOVE being happy.

I’m not going to bore you with a very wordy post. Here are a few pictures I found on my point and shoot from the week………….

I dropped my iPhone in the Best Buy parking lot and the screen shattered……… I’m not taking it well. I went home after and drank a chocolate almond milk while contemplating crying. I then preceded to watch the Notebook, Dirty Dancing (the original and Havana Nights), Sabrina with Harrison Ford and finally Top Gun. It’s safe to say there is no more liquid in my body and my living room is flooded with tears.

I hope you guys are having a great Wednesday. :-D

So sorry about your iphone, Maren, but it’s great news that you can still have chocolate!

I love your blog site. I want to start a blog too, but not about food. Partly it is to go with my book, but more than that, I want to write a blog about the big questions of life. It’s my way of interacting with the world by making people think and discuss with me (I hope!).

I am not computer savvy at all. Do you have any advice for me? I don’t even know where to start. Any and all advice will be most welcome!!! :)

Thank you,

Kathleen

your poor iPhone! I know you could do this with the iPhone 3, but you can buy a new screen, and there is a youtube video that shows you how to replace it. My friend did it and you couldn’t tell he’d replaced it.

Sorry about your phone…that sucks :(

On a happier note, I LOVE Dirty Dancing – both versions! I love how cheesy they are and how awesomely bad the acting in Havana Nights is, plus all that hot salsa music :)

Sorry to hear about your phone. I did the exact same thing this weekend outside the gym but mine is significantly worse.

I know on craigslist you can search iPhone repair and there are quite a few people that will replace the screen for you fast and relatively inexpensive (well less expensive than a new phone). I think that’s the route I’m taking.

I hate that about your phone! :( I use mine when I run and I am always afraid I am going to drop it.
I was so happy when I saw your update! When all else fails, I love to throw myself into movies….I recently checked out Thor and Capt America. I am not sure who I am in love with (or want to stalk) more. Probably Thor. :) lol! When I am really sad I put in any Jane Austen movie, especially Pride and Prejudice.

Hope you have an awesome day!

Sorry to hear about your iphone! Sadness.

I’m glad you’re doing ok though— I’ll drink a margarita for you too!

I’m so sorry about your phone! I have a droid but I’m addicted and would probably do the exact same thing (watch lots of movies). I love love love Dirty Dancing :)

I hope your diet woes go away soon! Maybe you could focus on all the wonderful foods you can eat? And blog fantastic recipes?

I was wondering where you were! But then again, I can understand it would be hard to blog about your eats when you’re so limited. : (

That SUCKS about your iPhone. David did that a couple weeks ago to his Android. We can’t get new phones til May 2012 or something, so he’s kinna screwed! It’s still usable though. He took packaging tape and taped it up — still works! haha.

I hope you have a great weekend!

:( BOO to dropped iPhones…..so sorry! I’m eating wheat and dairy-free right now, so I get ya about food not being super-exciting. I’m looking at it as a fun challenge though, and trying to make the best of it.
