Hey everyone! I hope you’re watching the Giant’s game!
Snack
Snack today was some pleasures greek yogurt with caramel on the bottom with raw oats.
I’m in love with this snack. It’s so tasty and filling.
I ran errands around town this afternoon after physical therapy.
After running errands my ankle was definitely feeling tired. All the new exercises are kicking my bootay!
So up until today I was doing balance exercises at Balance Physical Therapy Center, gotta love that, and everything was two footed. I did squats on an upside down Basu Ball, I balanced on these yellow bubble things, and I stood on a foam roller cut in half, sometimes with the round part up and sometimes with it down. I do other things like step up’s on a step, quad and calf exercises on a shuttle press and ride a stationary bike. Well today all my excises became one footed ones on my bad leg. Including this new one where I balance on the round part of the basu ball while throwing a ball to someone and they throw it back at me. It’s so hard and my leg felt like jelly after.
My ankle is screaming tonight, the cool temp in my house isn’t helping. I was hoping to do some stationary bike tonight along with some arm weights but I think I’m going to rest up, I have PT again tomorrow and I don’t want a repeat of last Friday. That was the worst PT day yet.
This kept me full until a little before 6 when I broke into some soup and leftovers. All bowl food.
Dinner
I heated up about half my left over stash of Jewish Couscous and cooked some vegetable soup with parm on top. Bowls Bowls Everywhere!
I guess I could have put the couscous on a plate but the Israeli grain is very round and would roll all over the place.
This dish held up pretty well in the fridge, it did lose some of it’s intense flavor though. I ended up adding a little bbq sauce to it half way through. I know it sounds strange, but it tasted pretty good. No judging.
Ahhh. Parm!!!
Dessert
I’m trying to eat less sugar throughout the week so that Sweet Fridays are more of a treat. To do this I’m having a small rich dessert on nights I need something sweet. Tonight, chocolate chips!
Don’t get me wrong I’m still all about baking chips in my pancakes, pleasures yogurt, and Larabars but I want to be a little more mindful of my sugar consumption. If I have a sweet breakfast I shouldn’t have a sweet snack too. I can always be a little bit healthier!

That snack sounds faaabulous!
What a wonderful day of eats…I’m so exhausted, Maren. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers this weekend. Just saw baby Ryan today, and my heart is breaking. Much love.
I love you dinner. Both bowls look so pretty and yummy, especially that cous cous!
