Five Tangent Post of Random

September 26, 2012

Hi guys! How’s your Wednesday???

I’m so sad that I had absolutely nothing to post yesterday… unless you want to know how I decorated my insanely small living space for fall for under $30 dollars. Which I definitely did.

And today all I have for eats to show ya is good old left overs. I did have a fun autumn flavored coffee combo for breakfast, though. I had dark roast coffee with soymilk and a shake of pumpkin pie spice.

Do it! You’ll thank me.

Lunch

Left over Dirty {Southern} Boil for lunch. Which was insanely good and I wish I had another bowl. I settled for some southwestern veggie soup from a can instead. Sigh.

I put together a really fun/funky outfit for today.

but I completely chickened out and put on my usual knee high boots exactly 7 seconds after snapping those pics.

They’re still cute… no worries ;-)

Is anyone else really confused by fashion right now??? I am. I’ve read the Sept. issue of Vogue at least 4 times and I can’t nail it down. All I can get is that you’re supposed to wear a bunch of things that really don’t go together…

For some reason I don’t think this is right.

Last weekend after my run I was followed home by this cat.

He found me on my cool down walk and he looks exactly like my cat Peanut. Peanut sadly died when I was a senior in high school but it was fun to see this guy and think about my trusty Peanut.

I picked Peanut out at the SPCA when I was 5 and clearly I loved food and peanut butter back then because I chose the name.

This Peanut II was so friendly and once I stopped petting him, he literally followed me to my front door. I was afraid he’d try and come in.

Yes those striped things in the corner of the pictures are the pants I chose to run in. I’m not even going to think about what that says about my sanity.

I did contemplate cat-napping this kitty and keeping him in my room but decided that his family would miss him too much and I couldn’t risk my own moral standing in the world for stealing some totally-unsuspecting family’s beloved pet.

On a side-note Max told me that these psychologist students from somewhere in the USA did a study on cats and followed them with cameras and found out that most outdoor cats lead double and triple lives. They normally have multiple families that think he/she is ‘their’ cat. The different families feed them and even name them. Crazy cats!!!

This is what a dying iPhone looks like. Plugged in all the time.

I had to move my charger to my office during the week. Poor iPhone 3GS.

I’m not exaggerating that I’m counting down the days until November 9th when I can get the new iPhone 5. I’ll prove it to you… there is exactly:

1 month  13 days  15 hours  56 minutes  52 seconds left

as of: 2:03pm

Tell me about you!!! I want to know…

Are you obsessing over the iPhone 5?

Yes… I look at photos almost every day… this is sadly not an exaggeration.

Do you have a pet?

Yes it’s a suicidal fish named Don Pedro.

Do Leftovers make you excited or grumpy?

It depends on what they are. Probably more grumpy than excited.

Are you more craving a pumpkin spice latte or the salted caramel mocha from the S. Bucks?

I haven’t tried the mocha yet but I HAVE to before it leaves to make room for the gingerbread latte.

Way to rock the crazy pants on your run!

I have 2 pets, a dog Eloise and a cat Gizmo. Not gonna lie, I’d be sort of ok if another family adopted my kitty. He peed on my couch like 2 months ago and I still can’t get the smell out!

Leftovers make me totally grumpy. I don’t know what it is about them, but I’m just not into them. Luckily I have a boyfriend who’s quite happy to eat every last leftover. :)

I am not obsessing over the iPhone 5. I don’t even have an iPhone, but I’ll be getting one in probably January. :) David on the other hand is ordering one this weekend for his bday! Although he doesn’t know yet…hehehe.

I’m not really into Starbucks…except for the French Roast coffee beans to make French Press at home. :)

I love leftovers usually! “Free” lunch!

So funny, I just did a random post too. They are the best!
I dig your outfit. Where did you get the boot’s in the first pic?
I’m due for an upgrade on the first, so I put a deposit down on a wait list for the iPhone 5 yesterday. I’ve always had a Droid, so I feel like I’m coming to the dark side. ;)
I have a Jack Russell, Bam. He’s a cool man!

I got the boots at Kohls. They’re the Candy’s brand. I really love them and I’m totally sad that I chickened out and changed them.

You are going to love iPhone!!!! I’m so envious your ready to upgrade on the 1st. I am having a hard time waiting.

My dad upgraded my phone to 4S over xmas (from 3G), so I might not even experience the 5…

Also pretty sure my brother’s cat leads a double life. He answers to my neighbors unique clicking noise and is a total sucker for anyone willing to pet him…

OMG your brother’s cat is one of the double life cats!!!!! That is too funny. Well the 4s is pretty darn awesome and if the 5 hadn’t come out right before my contract runs out then I’d be getting the 4s in november. Siri is awesome!

Love the outfit!!! I’m currently loving fall fashion too! Just waiting for it to get a bit colder so I can wear it! I’m dying to upgrade to an i phone! I’m the only person who still has a blackberry!

As a previous blackberry pearl user… you need to upgrade! But, once you go iPhone you’ll never go back so do it with a little caution. ;-)

Are you obsessing over the iPhone 5?
negative. I don’t even have a smart phone. Why? i have no clue. I just really want the Draw Something app!

Do you have a pet?
two lovely cats. Boo and French Fry. They rock, and not sucidial. Thank golly.

Do Leftovers make you excited or grumpy?
kinda grumpy, not sure why.

Are you more craving a pumpkin spice latte or the salted caramel mocha from the S. Bucks?
Not a big coffee drink. But I’ll eat anything pumpkin, does that count?!

Maren September 27, 2012 at 11:40 am

YES! I’ll eat anything pumpkin too. Can someone please make me a pumpkin cupcake?!

I so need a new phone. I can’t make or recieve phone calls. Only texts. :\

We have 3 cats and 1 dog. I’d be heartbroken if they were cheating on me with another family, now that they spend most of the day outdoors.

Not a big coffee drinker, but I would definetly drink a pumpkin spice anything.
