Streaking!

May 30, 2012

I bet you’ve all heard about it. It’s everywhere. All the #rwRunStreak all over the digital social sphere. It’s caught on like wild fire!!!

Here’s my proof! I did my 1 mile today. Actually I did 1.5… booyeah! ;-)

So what is it? Runner’s World challenged everyone to “streak” from Memorial Day to Independence Day… a total of 37 days. (or something like that, I don’t quite remember)

Basically you just have to run every single day. It doesn’t have to be a lot. As long as you run at least a mile it counts.

I’m streaking! Day 1: 1 mile | Day 2: 3 miles | Day 3: 1.5 miles

Snack

I don’t know what the deal was. Around 4pm I had a crazy, out-of-control craving for peanut butter. I think I would have bitten, spit, and stole for a spoon of peanut butter. So I had some peanut butter, with a few chunks of dark chocolate because if you’re gonna go there… you might as well go there!

~250 calories

Dinner

Once dinner time rolled around I knew exactly what I’d be enjoying… leftovers!!!

I heated up the leftover baked lemon fish and I made some quick and easy roasted asparagus.

Dinner in 15 minutes flat! BAM!

I hit the gym for my streak after dinner. Originally I planned on doing my 1.5 miles on the treadmill then doing 40 minutes on the cybex elliptical, but they were all full and I didn’t feel like waiting. I’ll take an easy day this hump-day. ;-)

And a little post workout snack…

Streaking, I looked at the title and my mind went elsewhere. This kind of streaking I am into hhaha. Yet again another delicious dinner, do you buy frozen fish or fresh fish? I think I am going to buy the parchment fish for dinner. Perfectly portioned and already seasoned.

Haha. My mind went there to at first. I buy the frozen tilapia and cod fillets from costco. They are so easy an always taste fresh.
