Hey friends! I love all your comments on the Beer Can Chicken!! It was too fun to make, and eat afterwards.
If you missed out on checking MAMO this weekend here’s what you missed……
- Beer Can Chicken and my first 4 mile run
- I bought new running shoes!!!!
- I ate finger lickin’ good BBQ after looking at a food truck for our new Tri-Tip business
It was a busy week!
Breakfast
I was not hungry at all this morning. Must have been our beery birdy last night.
I skipped making breakfast and hit up Starbucks on my way to work. We’re hanging pictures at the county hospital today. I love work like this. Art is my favorite!!!
For breakfast I got my usual Awake Tea with soymilk and I spotted a gluten/dairy free bar that would be super fun to try. Plus, you never know when hunger might strike so I figured better be prepared with a little bite o’ food.
I’ve never had these Raw bars before. So I chose the goji berry because it sounded exotic and adventurous.
When I opened it I thought it looked like bird food………..
It was pretty tasty and kicked my hunger pangs at 9:30am.
Weekly Workout Plan
This week my workouts look like this…….
- Monday: Stretch and Strength (pilates and tae bo target total body workout DVD)
- Tuesday: 3 mile run
- Wednesday: 4 mile run
- Thursday: 2 mile run and strength (upper body focused Nike Training Club circuits)
- Friday: REST DAY
- Saturday: Frost to Fog 5K in Chico!!!!

I have heard of the Two Moms in the Raw, but have never heard of them. Glad you liked it! I would probably say that th Clif Z bars are my favorite. Just the right size. I am trying to cut back on the gluten for a bit so I am searching out new bars. :)
Still diggin the Firm….although I did one the other day and it was a mess! I couldn’t get the moves and the instructor was going WAY to fast.
I had some iced coffee this morning! it was yummy!
Any lounge pants! If I don’t have plans or a workout, they are the first thing I get into when I get home. :)
I love Billy Blanks and Jillian Michaels. He never fails to kick my ass.
I’m not a huge bar fan but I like Snackwell’s. I think I’m one of the only HLB who doesn’t like Larabars.
I like the looks your seedy bar…generally, I’m not a huge bar person, but I do like the Fiber one 100 calorie pb ones…iced versus hot is really a tough call, honestly it depends on the weather. Last summer, I made homemade almond milk iced coffee almost every day for breakfast, and now, I’m drinking hot tea like it’s going out of style…I’m very seasonal in my beverage selections. Right now my fav piece of clothing is the sparkly pink lululemon sweater I got for Christmas…it actually kind of scares me how much I love it. And…that is so cool that you got to hang art at a hospital for work…rad!
i like larabars alot too! i used to eat luna bars alot but i havent had any bars honestly in a while…
definitely depends on the weather outside coffee wise…but i drink hot coffee from my thermos every morning. i love iced coffee outside of work…but most of the time my office is FUHREEZING!
My favorite bars are Larabars (Coconut Cream Pie & Cherry Pie), Lunabars (White Chocolate Macademia Nut) or my recent fav are Clif Mojo bars. I love eating a bar with a piece of fruit for my morning snack, but need to change up the bars I eat, otherwise I get sick of them since I practically eat one daily! I also love stashing one or two in my purse for those times hunger strikes out of nowhere! :)
Coconut is my favorite too, well that and the peanut butter brownie one…. tasty.
I always love the questions you ask and answer. I feel like I know you so well even though we’ve never met (yet..I know we will soon!) And your chicken did look so delicious! I can’t wait to try it with Ry. I adore larabars too (as you know) and I also almost always prefer hot drinks. Love and hugs!
I know we will meet one day too! You must make the chicken, it’s so fun and easy.
